SusCrete Infrastructure
The increasing rate of urbanization has resulted in a ramp in infrastructure development which is having a detrimental effect on the natural environment. This has necessitated a new paradigm shift for engineers to develop infrastructures that meet the needs of the society while conforming with the environmental imperatives.

SusCrete’s strategy is to channel its founding member’s skills and expertise in sustainable infrastructure management to champion innovative R&D for sustainable infrastructure development in Africa. Our ultimate goal is to leverage our knowledge and research to provide advisory consulting on technologies for sustainable infrastructure development for the public and private sectors.

Olukayode Alao, Co-Founder & CEO
Olakunle Alao, Co-Founder & Director
Olukayode has over eight (8) years combined experience as a civil/structural engineer and construction management professional with several companies and research institutes. He has developed procurement strategies for companies in the construction and FCMG sectors. He was nominated as a Falling Walls Young Innovator in 2015 and for the Paris pre-COP 21 UN CFCC in July 2015. He is also an alumnus of the Polytechnic of Milan and the University of Cape Town where he bagged an MSc in civil engineering. He is idea-driven and passionate about the effect of anthropic activities on the environment. This has challenged him to use his expertise as a civil engineer and construction professional in making a difference and starting this consulting company.
Olakunle brings with him about five (5) years of experience in Clean Energy infrastructure technology, finance and investments. He has worked as a Market Analyst for the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and worked on the Oxford Policy Management - Energy and Economic Growth project. He has also consulted for Power Futures Lab MIRA (South Africa), African Development Bank Group (Cote d'Ivoire), Inspired Evolution Investment Management Pty Ltd. (South Africa) and ResponsAbility Investments AG (Switzerland). He holds an M.Sc. (Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a B.Eng. (first-class honours) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Covenant University. Olakunle currently directs Suscrete's Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Investment practice in Africa.
Yorm Amesu, Co-Founder & Director
Yorm Amesu is an experienced civil forensic engineer with over nine (9) years experience. Currently focused on the US market, he is working on certifying and verifying the structural aspects (design and integrity) of infrastructure projects on behalf of public administrations. He has overseen the construction and completion of several projects. During which he witnessed the unsustainable construction methods being employed by these companies during the construction phases. These projects, though completed, weren't environmentally friendly and could have been improved. Therefore, the drive to contribute positively to this sector ignited the idea for SusCrete.
